Courtney Bruce joins Friends of the Children as a Professional Mentor, bringing a strong commitment to
supporting youth and strengthening the community. She is honored to serve in this role and to
contribute to an organization deeply dedicated to long-term impact in the lives of children.
Courtney attended Eastern Oregon University and has built her career in social services. Her professional
experiences have shaped a deep belief in the importance of stability, advocacy, and compassionate
support for children and families. She feels called to work in roles where young people can feel safe,
valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.
Outside of her professional work, Courtney enjoys a simple, outdoors-centered life with her husband.
Together they care for their animals — including their dog, horse, and chickens — and she enjoys baking
sourdough. Spending time outdoors and tending to everyday routines helps her stay grounded and
brings balance to the work she cares so deeply about.
Courtney is passionate about supporting children and is grateful for the opportunity to serve as a
Professional Mentor. She looks forward to working alongside colleagues, partners, and families to
advance the mission of Friends of the Children in meaningful ways.
