Jaron Kuehn
Jaron Kuehn joins Friends of the Children – Eastern Oregon as a Professional Mentor, bringing years of experience supporting and encouraging young people. Before joining the team, Jaron worked in the special needs department at a high school in Central Oregon, where he supported students with a wide range of abilities and needs. He later worked as a Job Developer, helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities build employment skills, find meaningful work, and become more independent.
Jaron has also spent much of his life involved in youth athletics. He coached high school basketball for 10 years and middle school track and field for 3 years. Through coaching and his professional work, he has developed a strong belief in the importance of building relationships, recognizing each person’s individual strengths, and providing young people with consistent encouragement and support.
Jaron and his wife recently moved to Eastern Oregon and have two fantastic children who are both attending college. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and his dogs, cooking, being outdoors, and staying involved with sports.
Jaron is excited to bring his experience working with youth and individuals with disabilities to Friends of the Children and looks forward to building meaningful, long-term relationships with the young people he serves.
