Staff: Shasta Kuehn

For more than six years, Shasta worked as a Special Education Educational Assistant, where she learned that every child has unique strengths and deserves someone who believes in them, encourages them, and celebrates their successes. Those experiences shaped who she is and inspired her passion for supporting young people, which she now brings to her role as a Friend with Friends of the Children.

Shasta is a proud mom of two amazing children who are both in college—one studying nursing and the other graphic design. She and her husband recently moved to La Grande to be closer to family and spend more time with their new grandson. Shasta is honored to be part of an organization dedicated to building lasting relationships and creating brighter futures for children.
